About Sonia Baez 

Sonia Baez is the heart and founder of ORTS Family Connection, a New Jersey-based mental health consultation service dedicated to empowering families, youth, and community systems with the tools to heal, grow, and thrive. With over a decade of experience in child welfare, mental health, and family systems, Sonia brings a unique blend of expertise, cultural sensitivity, and holistic care to every individual and organization she serves.

Sonia holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Child Welfare and is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT). Her educational foundation includes a Child Welfare Certificate from Stockton University and specialized training in Holistic Harm Reduction through the Academy for Education Development in partnership with the CDC.

Her dedication to mental wellness and youth empowerment has earned her multiple recognitions, including:
